Google Earth: The Cross Over of Maps Into New Media

I will be going into in depth research as to how Google Earth is one of the newest, innovative tools of new media. Google Earth has now come to replace normal 1D and 2D maps, its 3D. You can pinpoint any spot on the globe, in addition you are able to interact and jump in to get a visual glimpse for yourself as to what this place looks like. This will aid in the areas of security, real estate for homebuyers and investors, people looking for vacations, and others who are just looking to relocate. Google Earth will be taking us to that next level of technology.

What is "New Media"?

New Media is the shift in technology to innovate our society and keep the world in constant communications. Keeping the world wired mean, we get to grow globally and not as an individual. Mindpower combined worldwide will take us to that new dimention. Maybe the teleportation will develope from this new type of think tank....

New media is comprised of several new technologies, including blogs, wikis, faceebook, twitter. One of my favorites is Google Earth, it is a tool that I use to enhance my real estate investing. I am able to view locations nationally, instead of traveling to get a look.

The internet is detrimental to the survival of new media. Internet technology gives us the ability to involove the entire world. Many of these technologies would not be able to survive without the internet.

Old Media is undergoing a full tranisiton New Media, this is the way the world works, developement after new developement. For example, in Marc Perry's blog, "J-Schoolers at DePaul U. Study Breaking Tweets" We grow as a society when we have new innovations. Before I pass on, I would definetly like to see instant holograms in the air, where I am able to communicate with someone on the other end; instead of using a cell phone. All old media isn't being replaced, but it is being transitioned into a new beast. This only makes existing technology better.
